The Kali Bari Mandir. Especially dear to the Bengali group of people of Delhi, Kali Bari Mandir is the turn of celebration during the festival of Durga Puja, detained every October. It is comparatively small in dimension and quite modest in its design. The temple holds special meaning for the Bengali people residing in the city, particularly at the time of Durga Puja, held in the month of October-November every year. An amazing fact about the temple is that here, liquor is offered to the Goddess. Devoted to the Hindu Goddess Kali, one of the incarnations of Durga, this temple is mostly frequented by the resident Bengali population of the area. The temple's activities center on offerings to the Goddess and regular distribution of prasad. A massive 'peepal' tree grows within the compound of the temple and is considered sacred by the devotees.
