Nag Vasuki Temple is a very significant shrine of Allahabad. The city of Allahabad is known to be the largest town of Uttar Pradesh that abodes several popular temples of the country. Nag Vasuki Temple is one such popular temple of the city that is located in Daraganj. This region is located at the northern part of the Allahabad railway bridge near the bank of the holy river Ganges. The main deity of this temple is Vasuki, who was a renowned king of serpents. Numerous tourists with great enthusiasm and devotion visit this temple every year. The main festival celebrated here at this shrine is the occasion of Nag Panchami. 
According to the one of the Hindu mythology known as Matsya Puran, the temple is extended from the Pratishthana area to legendary Vasuki pond. However, it is also believed that the temple premises also include a region that is supposed have abode of Nagas.
